I was born and raised in Auburn, New York. I received my BA in Elementary Education at SUNY Cortland. In 2001, I moved to Rochester, New York to pursue my masters degree in Special Education at Saint John Fisher College.
After I completed my my masters program, I moved back to Auburn, New York to be closer to my family and to begin my teaching position at Herman Avenue as a fifth grade teacher. After six years, I had the opportunity to teach first grade and have loved it ever since.
I currently live in Auburn, New York with my husband, Gary; our daughter, Alexandra; and our puppy, Milo. When I'm not teaching, you could find me reading a good book, walking through Hoopes Park, or spending time with friends and family.
